PERMA-HAND™ Suture, Black, Size 2-0, 18", with an FSL Reverse Cutting Needle, is a sterile, nonabsorbable surgical suture composed of an organic protein derived from natural silk. The silk is carefully purified by removing natural waxes and gums, enhancing its biocompatibility and reducing tissue reactivity.

The suture is coated with a proprietary wax blend designed to improve handling characteristics. This coating allows for smoother passage through tissue while minimizing drag. It reduces capillarity, limiting the wicking of fluids along the suture strand, which helps in reducing the risk of infection. The coating also aids in achieving precise, secure knot placement.

The FSL needle included is a reverse cutting needle, ideal for dense or fibrous tissues such as skin. Its cutting edge on the outer curve provides enhanced penetration with minimal trauma, ensuring accurate placement in tough anatomical areas.
